Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

fresh strawberries to taste
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 boxed cake mix (white or yellow)
1 pt. real whipping cream
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation

Slice strawberries and soak in 1/2 cup sugar overnight. Prepare the white or yellow cake mix according to directions.
Bake in two layer pans.
Let cool.
In a medium bowl, add whipping cream, 1 cup sugar and lemon juice.
Mix. Place strawberries on first cake layer and spread cream over strawberries.
Repeat with second layer and cover cake with remaining cream.
Place strawberries on top and enjoy.
