24 Hour Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. shredded lettuce
    sugar
    salt
    pepper
    6 hard-cooked eggs
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (do not thaw)
    onion to taste
    8 to 10 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    2 c. shredded Swiss cheese or Mozzarella
    1 c. mayonnaise
    garnish (green onion, green pepper, tomato wedges or paprika)
