Banana Split Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 or 3 bananas
    1/2 gal. Neapolitan ice cream
    1/2 c. walnut meats, chopped
    2 c. Cool Whip
    1 pkg. graham cracker crumbs
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    2 c. or more powdered sugar
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cover bottom of 11 x 15-inch pan with cracker crumbs (reserve 1/2 cup for top).
    Slice bananas crosswise over crumbs.
    Place 1/2-inch thick ice cream slices over bananas.
    Freeze.
    Sprinkle with walnut meats.
    Freeze again until firm.
    Melt butter and chocolate chips.
    Add powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
    Cook until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla.
    Cool.
    When cold, pour over ice cream.
    Freeze until firm.
    Spread Cool Whip over chocolate layer.
    Top with reserved crumbs.
    Store in freezer.
    Remove about 10 minutes before serving.
    Keep frozen.
