Caramel Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar (1/2 caramelized)
2 egg yolks, save whites for meringue
3 tsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter
few grains salt
Preparation

Caramelize sugar in small skillet until dark brown.
Add 1/2 cup boiling water.
Cook until smooth.
Beat egg yolks.
Add sugar and flour.
Add milk, caramelized sugar, butter, vanilla and salt.
Cook over medium heat until thick and smooth, stirring constantly.
Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue.
