Italian Appetizer Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, crushed, or 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed as directed
    1/4 lb. sliced pastrami, cut into strips
    1/4 lb. sliced salami, cut into strips
    1/4 lb. sliced cheese (your favorite), cut into strips
    1 can or 1/2 pkg. sliced mushrooms
    1 red bell pepper, drained and chopped to taste
    2 green onions, chopped
    1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp. water
    Italian seasoning (optional)
Preparation
    In small saucepan, cook oil and garlic together over medium-low heat, stirring almost constantly, for 2 to 3 minutes, until garlic is golden and fragrant.
    Discard garlic; set saucepan of garlic-flavored oil aside.
