Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1/3 c. chopped dates or prunes
1 c. peeled chopped apples
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1 c. water
1/2 c. vegetable shortening or 1 stick margarine
2 well-beaten eggs
2 tsp. liquid sweetener
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil raisins, dates, apples and water for 3 minutes.
Add shortening to melt; cool.
Add remaining ingredients, with nuts last; mix well.
Refrigerate until well chilled.
Drop by teaspoonful on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes; cool.
Place in airtight container.
Keep in fridge; can freeze.
