Lime Congealed Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. lime jello
    1 c. boiling water
    1 (7 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 c. shredded American cheese or 1 c. cottage cheese
    1 small can evaporated milk
    3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Dissolve jello completely in boiling water.
    Add other ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex pan and chill.
    Cut in squares and serve on lettuce leaf.
    Garnish with maraschino cherries if desired.
