Brussels Sprouts Medley(Makes 4 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Brussels sprouts
    boiling salted water
    1 sweet red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
    1 medium onion, slivered
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
    salt
Preparation
    Trim stem ends and any discolored leaves from Brussels sprouts.
    Cut an \"X\" into stem of each.
    Cook in about 1-inch boiling salted water, uncovered 4 to 5 minutes, then covered until just tender, 3 to 5 minutes longer (or steam over boiling water until just tender, 8 to 10 minutes).
