Red Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. cocoa
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. Crisco
2 Tbsp. red food coloring
2 c. cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vinegar

Preparation

Cream sugar and Crisco.
Beat in eggs and food coloring.
Sift together cocoa, flour and salt.
Add dry ingredients.
Alternate with buttermilk.
Mix vinegar, vanilla and baking powder; add to the batter.
Mix well.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
