Nut Brown Buttermilk Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Beat egg; add sugar and mix well.
Stir in buttermilk and butter.
Blend in dry ingredients quickly, just until moistened.
Add nuts.
Pour batter into a buttered loaf pan 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 3/4-inches.
Bake in a preheated oven to 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes or until done in the center.
Remove from pan and cool on cake rack.
Makes one loaf.
