Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. softened butter or shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. unsifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Beat
    together
    butter,
    eggs, sugars and vanilla until light and
    fluffy.
    Add
    dry ingredients, blend well.
    Stir in nuts and chips.
    Drop
    from teaspoon onto ungreased sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake
    at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
