Linzer Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks)
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. almond extract
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. raspberry preserves (Smucker's)
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Blend eggs, extract, flour, salt and baking powder.
    Mix well.
    Chill at least 1 hour before rolling. Roll 1/4-inch and cut with round cutter.
    Cut half again without centers.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes. Will look white (do not overbake).
    Cool on wire rack.
    Spread preserves on bottom.
    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and then put them together.
