Colonial Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. rolled oats (quick)
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Shape into balls the size of walnuts (36).
    Place on greased cookie sheets.
    Flatten cookies with a glass that has been dipped in water, then in sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
