Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Add vanilla.
Beat in eggs. Sift flour and baking powder; mix into dough.
Add pecans last and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 about 10 minutes or until golden.
Cool.
Makes about 4 to 6 dozen.
