Country Style Doughnut Puffs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Crisco (for deep frying)
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
Preparation

In medium bowl, combine eggs, vanilla and 1/2 cup sugar; beat well.
Stir in milk.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into egg mixture until well mixed.
Add melted butter.
Drop batter from teaspoon into deep Crisco heated to 375\u00b0.
Fry a few at a time, until browned, 2 or 3 minutes.
Drain on paper towels. Combine remaining sugar and nutmeg or cinnamon.
Roll puffs in mixture to coat.
Makes 3 to 3 1/2 dozen.
