Grandma Coy'S Curry Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large or 24 small cucumbers, sliced (leave rind on)
    1 1/2 c. salt
    8 c. water
    1 tsp. curry powder
    2 c. vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and drain.
    Combine salt and water.
    Pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand 5 hours. Drain and rinse thoroughly.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boiling.
    Pour over cucumbers. Heat to boiling and pack into sterile jars. Seal immediately!
    (Do not have to use canner!)
