Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks in natural juices
    1 (3 1/8 oz.) pkg. cook and serve vanilla pudding
    1 qt. mixed fresh fruit chunks (apples, bananas, oranges, strawberries, grapes, pears, etc.)
    3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1/3 c. flaked coconut (may be omitted)
    whipped topping (if desired)
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
    Set pineapple aside.
