Coconut-Pecan Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, combine corn syrup, evaporated milk, sugar, butter, egg yolks and vanilla, stirring frequently. Cook over medium heat until thickened, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool until thick enough to spread, stirring occasionally. Makes about 2 1/4 cups.
