Buttermilk Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. self-rising yellow cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 large egg
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place oil in an 8-inch iron skillet. Heat in 450\u00b0 oven for 5 minutes. Combine cornmeal, flour, soda and sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Stir lightly beaten egg and buttermilk into dry mixture and mix just enough to moisten ingredients. Pour into hot pan; bake about 20 minutes, until golden brown.
