Brown Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    1 pkg. light brown sugar (about 2 1/2 c.), packed
    3 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0. Cream the butter.
    Gradually add sugar, creaming thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each.
    Mix flour and salt together.
    Add vanilla to mixture, then add flour, mixing well after each addition. Drop by teaspoons at least 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Decorate, if desired, with sprinkles.
    Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until edges are brown and crisp.
    Remove from pans immediately.
    Yields 100 cookies.
