Ingredients

1/2 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. thick sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
6 Tbsp. cocoa
Preparation

Mix together first 3 ingredients.
Stir in next 2 ingredients. Sift together last 5 ingredients and stir in.
Mix well.
Chill at least 1 hour.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake approximately 8 to 10 minutes in 425\u00b0 oven, until almost no imprint remains when touched with finger.
