Fried Squirrel And Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 squirrels (young)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Cut squirrels into serving pieces and coat in mixture of flour, salt and pepper.
    Fry in shortening.
    Remove from pan and add 2 tablespoons of flour mixture.
    Stir until absorbed and brown.
    Add 1 cup water to make gravy.
    Return meat to gravy and simmer until meat is tender, about 1/2 hour.
