Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or oleo
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolates
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation

Let butter and shortening stand at room temperature, then cream oleo or butter and Crisco.
Add brown and white sugar until creamy.
Be sure batter is smooth.
Next add eggs and beat.
Add vanilla, then mix flour and other ingredients.
Add chips and nuts with spoon.
Drop on ungreased cookie sheet by spoonfuls.
Use a spatula to push it off the spoon.
Bake about 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
Let cool before stacking.
Makes 6 dozen. Temperature 350\u00b0.
