Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 (10 oz.) can coconut
    1 tsp. orange flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar well.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Add alternately with milk.
    Add flavoring and coconut.
    Put in a cold oven.
    Heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for 1 hour or until done.
