Toffee Bar Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter or margarine, chilled
1 c. milk
1 large egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 Heath bars or 1 pkg. Heath bits
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan.
Combine brown sugar and flour in large mixer bowl, on low speed, until thoroughly combined.
Cut butter into 8 pieces; cut into sugar-flour mixture with a pastry blender, until mixture is size of small peas and uniformly mixed.
Transfer 1 cup of mixture to medium bowl to use as topping.
Add milk, egg, vanilla and baking soda to remaining crumb mixture.
Beat on high speed for 2 minutes.
Transfer to prepared pan.
Coarsely mince candy bars; add to reserved crumbs, along with pecans.
Sprinkle evenly over cake.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
Place pan on wire rack; cool completely.
