Polish Bows(Chrusciki) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg plus 3 egg yolks, beaten until stiff
    1/3 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla or 1/2 tsp. almond
Preparation
    Add sugar, salt, flour and vanilla or almond to eggs.
    Knead dough until spongy, about 5 minutes.
    Divide dough.
    Roll out paper thin using flour so it doesn't stick.
    Cut with pastry wheel into 5 x 1 1/4-inch strips.
    Cut a slit about 1 1/2-inches on strip and pull strip through slit.
    Deep fry to light tan color.
    Cool on paper toweling.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
