Ingredients

1 c. oleo or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. molasses
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 Tbsp. warm water
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream oleo; add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Mix in molasses, nuts and warm water.
Mix soda with small amount of flour.
Add to mixture.
Stir in remaining flour.
Knead with hands until dough sticks together.
Divide dough into 2 parts; shape into rolls.
Put in wax paper.
Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Slice on floured board.
Put on cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
