Great Grandma'S Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. extra sharp New York cheese
    1 (8 oz.) box ready-cut Mueller's macaroni
    1 stick butter
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 c. milk
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Grate cheese and set aside.
    Add 1 tablespoon butter to water to\tcook
    macaroni.
    Cook
    for
    9 minutes and drain.
    To make sauce,
    melt
    butter
    on low heat.\tStir in flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt
    and
    pepper.\tTurn
    up
    heat and cook flour and butter for 2
    minutes,
    stirring, but do not brown (this prevents
    starchy taste).
    Add
    milk\tall at once, stirring constantly.
    When slightly thickened, take off heat and cover.
