Ingredients

4 qt. beets (small or cut in pieces), peeled and cooked
3 c. white vinegar
3 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. water
2 tsp. allspice
3-inch cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Bring to boil.
Add cooked beets; bring to boil again and can. Makes about 8 pints.
