Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    little ginger
    pinch of salt
    1 c. blackberry preserves
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. nuts (if desired)
    1/2 c. raisins (if desired)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Add preserves, nuts and raisins.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
    Grease and flour pans.
    Pour in prepared pans and bake until cake tests done, about 30 to 35 minutes.
