Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. sliced squash
    2 large green bell peppers
    2 large onions
    1 Tbsp. salt and crushed ice
    2 c. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine first four ingredients.
    Set for 2 hours and drain. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil.
    Put in squash and let come to a boil.
    Put in jars.
    Add 2 red peppers for color, if you can find them, or use some pimientos in jar.
