Yankee Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef roast
    salt and pepper
    Wesson oil
    2 c. water
    2 bay leaves
    1 large onion, sliced
    4 large carrots, sliced
    2 (8 oz.) cans Hunt's tomato sauce with bits
Preparation
    Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper.
    Brown in hot oil in Dutch oven.
    Add 1 cup water and tomato sauce.
    Simmer 1 hour, covered. May need to add water.
