Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sliced fresh peaches
    2 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    dash of salt
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 baked 10-inch pastry shell
Preparation
    Sprinkle peaches with lemon juice and sugar. Let stand 1 hour. Drain; reserve syrup. Measure 1 cup syrup (add water if necessary). Add to cornstarch and blend. Stir over low heat until thick. Remove from heat. Add oleo, salt and extract. Mix with peaches. Pour into pie shell. Chill.
