Yam And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium (1 3/4 lb.) yams
    4 Tbsp. butter, cut into thin pats
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 medium Yellow Delicious apples
    1/4 c. packed dark brown sugar
Preparation
    Cook yams in water until almost tender, 25 minutes.
    Cool and remove the skins.
    Cut into 1/2-inch thick slices.
    Pare and core apples; cut each in 6 rings.
