Cherry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Drain and chop cherries, reserving juice. Combine flour, soda and salt. Set aside. In large mixer bowl, cream sugar and margarine. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Beat well after each addition. Lightly flour cherries and pecans. Fold in mixture just until coated. Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until done. Cool in pan for 5 minutes.
