Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. Karo white syrup
    1 stick margarine or butter
    2 1/2 qt. popped corn (approximately 16 c.)
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook first 3 ingredients over heat until it reaches the hard ball stage on a candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat and beat in 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
    Pour mixture over corn and mix well. Bake at 225\u00b0 for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.
