Cabin She Crab Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. milk
    4 oz. butter
    1/2 c. flour
    2 oz. boiling water
    1 oz. chicken base
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1/4 Tbsp. seafood seasoning
    3/4 lb. crabmeat
    6 oz. Almaden Sauterne
    1/2 pt. cold milk
Preparation
    Heat milk in double boiler until almost boiling (scalded). Melt butter in saucepan; add flour gradually and whip until smooth.
    Quickly add to scalded milk and stir until smooth.
    Thin with boiling water.
    Add chicken base, spices and lemon juice. Add wine and crabmeat.
    Thin soup to consistency with cold milk. Makes 1/2 gallon.
