Molasses Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. molasses
2 eggs
4 c. sifted plain flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. mixed spices
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Stir in molasses, beaten with eggs. Re-sift flour with other dry ingredients.
Add alternately with milk.
Beat well after each addition until blended.
Bake in a greased 9-inch tube pan in 350\u00b0 oven about 45 minutes.
This is delicious with apple butter as icing while cake is still warm.
