1/2 c. butter
4 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs (unbeaten)
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly. Add sugar and vanilla; mix well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually blend this into chocolate mixture.
Fold in nuts.
Chill dough several hours.
Form into small balls; roll in confectioners sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 dozen.
