Lemon-Lime Sherbet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    6 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    6 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
    1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
    2 to 3 drops green food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    Combine milk, sugar and salt in large bowl; stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
    Gradually add combined juices and lemon peel to milk, stirring constantly (mixture may appear curdled at this stage, but final product is not affected).
    Stir in food coloring. Chill.
    Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
    Makes approximately 2 quarts.
