Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (20 oz.) can chunk pineapple (reserve juice)
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. flour
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar
8 oz. carton Cool Whip
1 1/2 c. dry-roasted peanuts
2 c. diced unpeeled apples (do not dice until ready to use)
Preparation

Mix drained pineapple and marshmallows.
Chill overnight covered.
Cook juice, sugar, flour, egg and vinegar until slightly thickened.
Chill overnight.
In the morning, combine pineapple sauce with Cool Whip.
Fold in pineapple and marshmallow mixture. Add apples and nuts.
