Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 (16 oz.) can sliced pineapple
    1 jar maraschino cherries
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    reserved pineapple juice
Preparation
    Melt 1/2 cup of margarine in an oblong pan.
    Stir in brown sugar; spread evenly in pan.
    Drain pineapple; reserve syrup. Arrange pineapple in pan.
    Add cherries inside the pineapple.
