Best Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large eggs
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 c. white sugar
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 lb. candied cherries
    1 lb. candied pineapple
    4 c. pecans
    1/2 oz. vanilla extract
    1/2 oz. lemon extract
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar.
    Cream well until fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a
    time;
    mix well.\tSift flour and baking powder together. Chop nuts\tand fruit and mix with some flour.
    Fold in flour mixture
    with
    butter mixture.
    Add vanilla and lemon extracts; mix
    well.\tFold
    in
    nuts\tand
    fruit.
    Pour
    into greased, paper-lined tube
    cake
    pan.
    Place
    in cold oven and bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours or until done.
