24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce, torn in bite size pieces
6 or 8 green onions, sliced
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 pkg. frozen peas
1/2 c. shredded carrots
1/2 c. shredded red cabbage
2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
Preparation

In a large sealable bowl (not metal), layer above ingredients, in order of appearance, up to mayonnaise.
Combine sugar with mayonnaise and spread over salad, sealing edges.
Sprinkle cheese over mayonnaise and then bacon.
Sometimes I also sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the bacon.
Let salad sit in refrigerator at least overnight.
Toss right before serving.
