Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 lemon rind, grated
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add lemon rind. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to first mixture, alternating with milk. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour. Allow to remain in pan 1/2 hour after removing from oven. Apply glaze (1/4 cup sugar and juice of lemon) to hot bread.
