Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt butter in heavy 3-quart saucepan.
    Add sugar and salt; stir in syrup and mix well.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
