Ingredients

4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. soft butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift first 5 ingredients; set aside.
Beat butter and egg at medium speed.
Add sugar.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
Gradually add flour mixture, beating until well combined.
With scraper, form dough into a ball.
Wrap with wax paper.
Refrigerate overnight.
May keep up to 2 weeks.
