Fish And Onions("If You Catch It, We Eat It!") - cooking recipe

Ingredients
4 fillets of fish (1/2-inch thick)
    2 medium white onions, sliced
    2 fresh limes
small fresh ginger root (1/2 to 1 inch), peeled and minced
2 cloves fresh garlic, minced or crushed
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground cumin
    1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. oil (vegetable or olive)
2 c. spinach, cooked and drained
    2 Tbsp. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 eggs
    1 c. bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. grated onion
    2 Tbsp. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/8 tsp. allspice
    1/4 c. water
    more bread crumbs
    1 pt. oysters
Preparation
Save 1 egg and 1/4 cup water, then combine cooked and drained spinach with all other ingredients, except oysters and bread crumbs.
    Let stand for 10 minutes.
Shape into balls (if using oysters, use small raw oysters or halve each of the large raw oysters).
Put oyster in bread crumbs and wrap oyster in spinach mixture.
Beat the saved egg and 1/4 cup water.
Dip spinach balls in egg-water, then roll once more in bread crumbs.
Yields 12 plus balls, depending on size; the smaller, the better!
