Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add milk, egg and shortening. Bake in shallow pan, skillet or muffin cups that are well-greased at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
