Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening, oleo and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift all dry ingredients except cinnamon and sugar; add to egg mixture. Mix thoroughly and put in the refrigerator overnight. Roll into balls the size of a walnut; roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand a minute before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 5 to 6 dozen.
